Check eligibility before anything else
A master's programme requires a completed bachelor's degree from a recognized university, usually with a minimum aggregate that varies by university and programme. Some PG programmes require the UG degree to be in a related discipline; many, including most MBA and MA programmes, accept any discipline.
If your UG degree has a pending backlog, resolve that first. An incomplete bachelor's degree is the most common reason a PG application stops, and it is the one thing no counsellor can work around.

Open and distance learning sits between the two: printed or digital material, periodic contact sessions, and examination at the end of each semester.
