Is Get My Degree a genuine and legitimate educational institution

Yes, Get My Degree (operated by GetMyDegree Institutions since 2021) is a legitimate, fully registered academic advisory and admissions service.

Crucially, Get My Degree does not issue degrees under its own name—no private agency or coaching centre in India has the legal authority to grant university degrees.

Instead, Get My Degree functions as an authorized institutional liaison and student facilitation partner connecting students with statutory, accredited Indian and international universities.

When you complete your studies:

• Your degree is conferred directly by a university established by an Act of Parliament or State Legislature and recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
• Your marks cards, provisional certificates, and degree convocation scrolls carry the official seal, registrar signatures, and security watermarks of the university.
• Your academic credits are stored directly in your national Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) account under the Ministry of Education, Government of India.

Are degrees valid for Kerala PSC, UPSC, SSC, and Central Government posts

One of the most frequent inquiries received at our Thrissur and Malappuram centres is whether these degrees are accepted by government testing bodies.

The statutory law in India is clear and unambiguous:

According to the Ministry of Human Resource Development (now Ministry of Education) and UGC Notification No. F. 1-1/2020 (DEB-I):

"The degrees/diplomas/certificates awarded for programmes conducted through the open and distance learning mode by the Higher Educational Institutions... are on par with degrees/diplomas/certificates issued through the conventional mode."

Thousands of our graduates have presented their credentials for:

• Kerala PSC (Kerala Public Service Commission): Valid for all Gazetted, Non-Gazetted, and Departmental qualification criteria.
• UPSC Civil Services Examination: Accepted for Preliminary, Mains, and Interview eligibility verification.
• Staff Selection Commission (SSC CGL & CHSL).
• Banking Recruitment: Valid for IBPS, SBI, and RBI competitive selection.
• Armed Forces & Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs): Suitable for Indian Railways, ONGC, BSNL, and defence promotion cadres.

How to avoid fake degree traps and unverified fast track scams

The internet contains numerous deceptive websites advertising "one-sitting graduation degrees" in 30 days or "backdated degree marksheets."

Please note:

• UGC strictly prohibits one-sitting degrees: Any institution claiming you can complete a three-year bachelor's degree in a single month or one day is promoting illegal, invalid credentials that will result in disqualification and legal liability.
• Legitimate Degree Completion requires real evaluation: Credit transfer and lateral entry are legal, recognized processes that respect the credits you have genuinely earned in previous college years while requiring you to study and clear the remaining semester syllabuses legitimately.

At Get My Degree, every admission is processed strictly in accordance with statutory academic schedules, legitimate semester examinations, and verified university roll numbers.
